Meet the Team
At our firm, we have the client—and only the client—in mind.
Our reasons for becoming financial professionals are deeply personal. We repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. We are confident that with our understanding of personal finance, coupled with our training as financial professionals, we can help people better prepare for the future. After years in the business, we have developed a reputation for educating individuals in an easy-to-understand manner so they can grasp personal finance and use those concepts to pursue their financial objectives. We feel a commitment to our community.
Over the years, we have found that a team approach can be an effective method to help clients who have a wide variety of needs as they maneuver through a complex financial-services world. We invite you to discover and experience the power of our services. We believe it has far-reaching benefits for our clients to get opinions from several sources with diverse backgrounds, education, and experience.
No one strategy fits everyone, which is why every client gets our undivided attention—from planning to execution to follow-up. We take a proactive approach to helping you develop a strategy to address your financial goals and objectives, using the most efficient methods available.

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” - Henry David Thoreau
In my journey to becoming a financial advisor, I met with a family member as a young adult, who taught me some important principles about saving, investing and debt. Following my family’s creed of working hard, I became the first person to graduate college. I immediately set off working in the financial services field and went on to train financial professionals across the US as an Assistant Vice President of a national financial firm.
My life took an important turn after having 2 wonderful children and I decided to balance work with family priorities as many of you have had to do. I continued to teach business classes during this time.
After joining Resource Financial, I taught a financial management course and took on the role of President and CEO of the firm. As a business owner and entrepreneur over the last 25+ years, I’ve been able to assist my clients in clarifying their financial picture by explaining complex topics in simple terms. I work hard at listening (something I learned from raising kids), so I can put a plan in place that is meaningful. It’s not only the big plans, but the curveballs in life that I can assist with. I have been able to help multiple generations of the same family, and it’s exciting to pass the torch of knowledge on.
In my free time, my husband and I enjoy traveling locally to central Oregon and the beach and hiking anywhere in the Pacific Northwest as well as trying out local wineries. I also love to cheer on the Portland Trailblazers.

I joined Resource Financial Planning in 2021, where I work closely with Kathryn on client planning, portfolio management, and investment strategy. Since joining the firm, I have played an active role in developing and implementing financial strategies for individuals and families across the practice.
I entered the financial industry in 2019 and am deeply involved in our collaborative, team-based approach to advising, helping ensure clients receive thoughtful guidance, continuity, and personalized attention as their financial needs evolve over time. In addition to my client-facing responsibilities, I am also involved in broader planning, firm oversight, and operational initiatives across the practice. I started my career in financial planning as a paraplanner, where I built a strong foundation in comprehensive wealth management and long-term financial strategy. Prior to entering the financial industry, I worked within a family business founded by my great-grandfather, which gave me valuable perspective on business operations, long-term planning, and relationship-driven service.
I believe strong financial advice begins with trust, clear communication, and consistency. My goal is to help clients make informed decisions with clarity and confidence through a straightforward and thoughtful approach.
Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, cooking, and bowling. I also spend most of my time outside the office with my wife, daughter, and our pets.

“Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.” Henry David Thoreau
I began my professional journey in financial services seventeen years ago, but long before that my fascination for personal finance was sparked by my first after school job. With some sage advice from my father, I chose to invest those hard earned dollars and learned the powerful concept of time value of money.
Fast forward to today, the same principle holds true, but there are many more complex areas of financial planning that we face. I help you navigate these financial complexities to take advantage of all that life has to offer. Whether it is wealth management, retirement income planning, or dealing with an unexpected life change, we work together to create a plan unique to your goals and values.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with family and running with my crazy dog, Dexter. You can also find me at the range working on my golf swing and playing guitar.

The road to a friend’s house is never far’ - Author Unknown
Being a financial advisor is not just my job, it is my passion. I am dedicated to helping people who have a desire to better their financial situation and I love helping my clients decide/determine what their next chapter will look like.
I have worked in the financial services areas since 1985 and am committed to bettering the community by spreading the word of financial responsibility to young and old. I honed my speaking skills at the local Toastmasters international, and along with the other advisors at RFP, teach classes throughout the year at Portland Community College as an adjunct faculty member, at local businesses, and volunteer my time offering financial education classes to the community.
My clients know I am there for them – they understand that I am accessible and welcome their inquiries, comments and concerns. They have come to expect that I do what’s right for them, and they feel informed, comfortable, confident and at ease as they look toward their future. Commitment to client service is the foundation of our business.
My enthusiasm and appreciation for my clients is apparent and I wouldn’t be in this business if it wasn’t for the wonderful people I get to work with every day.
My children are grown but my husband and I still enjoy going on family trips and looking for sunny places to visit. I spend most of my time working in my garden, hiking and taking our RV and boat out and about!

”It’s not about timing the market but time in the market.” - Kenneth Fisher
Raised in Dayton, OR I grew up working for family farms and learning the value of hard work. It wasn’t until I was at Oregon State University where I became interested in how the money supply/demand, interest rates, inflation, unemployment etc. all affect how our economy functions on a large and small scale.
In 2017 I traded my Carhart’s and work boots for a suit and tie and started helping people build a game plan around their finances. I work with individuals, families, and businesses to build personalized financial plans, with a primary focus on retirement planning, wealth management, and wealth preservation strategies. Working with an independent financial planning firm, I provide tailored solutions for each client’s unique situation and maintain a high level of service as their lives evolve.
During my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our friends and family, playing golf, wine tasting, traveling, attending church, trying new restaurants and smoking meat on my pellet smoker.
