“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” - Henry David Thoreau
In my journey to becoming a financial advisor, I met with a family member as a young adult, who taught me some important principals about saving, investing and debt. Following my family’s creed of working hard, I became the first person to graduate college. I immediately set off working in the financial services field and went on to train financial professionals across the US as an Assistant Vice President of a national financial firm.
My life took an important turn after having 2 wonderful children and I decided to balance work with family priorities as many of you have had to do. I continued to teach business classes during this time.
After joining Resource Financial, I taught a financial management course and took on the role of President and CEO of the firm. As a business owner and entrepreneur over the last 25+ years, I’ve been able to assist my clients in clarifying their financial picture by explaining complex topics in simple terms. I work hard at listening (something I learned from raising kids), so I can put a plan in place that is meaningful. It’s not only the big plans, but the curveballs in life that I can assist with. I have been able to help multiple generations of the same family, and it’s exciting to pass the torch of knowledge on.
In my free time, my husband and I enjoy traveling locally to central Oregon and the beach and hiking anywhere in the Pacific Northwest as well as trying out local wineries. I also love to cheer on the Portland Trailblazers.
